Reel Classics: the classic movie site

Notes from the Author

Reel Classics' Policy on Web-Rings

In general, I think the web-ring concept is a good one: people with sites on the same subject joining together and providing an easy means by which to point their visitors to other sites. From a webmaster's point of view, it's easier because you don't have to maintain a long list of links that are constantly changing and disappearing. However, while web-rings are ideal for sites with only one page of content, the various star and movie sections of Reel Classics incorporate a number of individual pages (not just one) which make the navigational structure of this site incompatible with the web-ring design of hopping from one site to the next.

Thus, although I attempted to participate in a few web-rings early on, and will continue to participate in those rings as long as is feasible (while gradually phasing them out of my site), I will not join any new web-rings.  What I will do however is link to the web-ring page which lists the member sites of a web-ring that is devoted exclusively to a classic movie-related star, film or topic.  Feel free to inform me of such web-rings using the comment form.
