Pictures with Judy Garland:

Together in BABES IN ARMS (1939), a role for which Mickey was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar.

As Mary Holden and Jimmy Connors in STRIKE UP THE BAND (1940).

Memorable Quotations:

  • "Isn't it wonderful what you can find these days in drug stores?" --as Tommy Williams in BABES ON BROADWAY.
  • "You know, I have a feeling you're going to be that unknown quality in my life." --as Tommy Williams in BABES ON BROADWAY.

And again in BABES ON BROADWAY (1942).

In all, Judy and Mickey made ten films together between 1938 and 1948, the first being LOVE FINDS ANDY HARDY and the last being WORDS AND MUSIC. But more than that, they grew up together and were the best of friends.
